Eurocup 2: Lake Como (ITA)
The first Eurocup will be held in the exact same place as the World Championship. The club hosting the event is PerSportsSSD and it is situated in Colico, in the northern part of Lake Como. This village is very well connected by train (the railway station is a 15 min walk from the club and 1.30h from Milan) and by car. The nearest airports are Malpensa, Linate and Orio Al Serio all situated in or around Milan.
The club hosting the event is PerSport SSD. The organizing committee will do their best to comply with all Covid19 measures, and we ask that all of you coming to the event do so as well. If you aren’t up to speed with all the measures applied in Italy please read the following article: http://www.italia.it/en/useful-info/covid-19-updates-information-for-tourists.html
For the moment, to enter Italy for a national level (or higher) race one must do a test 48h before entering the country. On the 26th of April rules might change so keep a look out for updates.
In May, the weather here should already be summer like, with around 20°C and pretty strong winds in the afternoon (around 15-18 knots). Please do remember that this lake is located in the pre-Alps, thus in the mountains, which means the water during the day and the nights could remain cold even in May.
The registrations are open at the following link: http://www.geasnbc.it/
Note: the regatta is called Trofeo Bosatta.
Addition (11-5-2021): Due to Covid restrictions for a lot of European travelers this event will no longer count towards the overall Eurocup competition.
