Hi RS 500s,

Here is the new ranking of the Eurocup RS500 after the wonderful stage in Lipno (CZE), during the World Class Championship: EUROCUP ranking 2019 (after three stages).

Beautiful location, perfect organization, great participation (63 registered boats from 10 countries): the crews will bring with them a great memory of this event, with the certainty that Czech Republic will still be the protagonist of future international events of the Class!

Lots of Czech crews, who showed an excellent improvement in international performance in racing: good job! We are sure that, after this World Championship, many old and new Czech teams are going to plan their presence in other European competitions: Eurocup is a real chance to further improve own skills, comparing themselves with the international fleet. Let’s not forget it: the number of Czech competitors is a real opportunity and a heritage for the whole sailing Class!

An example comes from the Italian team, one of the youngest and most competitive fleets, which will try to win the EuroCup title for the third consecutive year (and with different crews).

After the third round, in fact, Marchesi / Del Rosso (ITA), Stage-1 winners, lead the standings, but the favourites seem to be the greatest and always hi-motivated Curtis / Curtis (GBR) coming from a doubtless victory at the Worlds, currently on equal points

with the junior crew Roncuzzi / Roncuzzi (ITA), second at Worlds and winners in Colico, Stage 2.

Two other junior “blue” teams, C.Rossi / Andreani (ITA; first mixed crew) and Ballio / Ferrara (ITA), complete the top 5 of the EuroCup.

The first four teams in the overall standings will be present at the final stage of Aquavitesse (NED), where a great battle is therefore announced between England, Italy and Holland, the last in search of a great revenge and a confirmation of numerical leadership in the international fleet.

See You in The Netherlands!
